Recognizing that our growth in knowledge and in faith is a diverse, life-long process, First Presbyterian Church offers a wide variety of education programs for children, youth, and adults.
Church School for all ages is offered Sunday mornings at 9:30. A nursery is provided for children not yet age 2 during Church School and Worship. Church School is held year-round, with Rally Day (school year kick-off) being held shortly after the beginning of school.
Vacation Bible School provides an exciting time of learning both for the children of our church and the community, and is offered at no cost to the family. Click the underlined title for details on our very exciting program.
Special Church School classes are held during the Church School hour twice a year. In the fall, a Worship & Sacraments class is offered for children second grade or older. In the Spring, 3rd graders and older are invited to take the Young People’s Bible Class.
PALS (Presbyterians Are Loving Souls), open to all middle school and high school students and their friends, meets on Sunday evenings from 5-7 for fun, fellowship, and learning. The youth also participate in special events such as lock-ins, mission trips, and conferences.
Camps and Conferences are an important part of the church of members of all ages. Our congregation regularly attends a variety of conferences at Cho-Yeh and Mo-Ranch, including the Men’s Conference, Youth Celebration, Junior Jubilee, Conclaves, Teen Leadership Council, and others. A special Camp and Conference display board in the Narthex of the Fellowship Hall Building , as well as the church newsletter, provides a wealth of information concerning opportunities. |
